"A president gets better as time goes on."

Obama said earlier this week, “A president gets better as time goes on.” Which may be very true, however we simply do not have time to wait for him to improve his skills and become a better president. I believe we need to start out fresh with someone who is already better at being president then Obama. Obama also claimed during his interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer that he has created 3.7 million jobs in the last 23 months. I find this very difficult to believe being so many are still unemployed. He also added that he created the most jobs since 2005. Yet again I find this hard to believe. It may sound good and seem like the truth; however this is not the case. There are still several people unemployed and on well-fare. There are more people on well-fare now than ever before. If employment has increased so much, shouldn’t well-fare be decreasing? The answer is yes, but this I not what is happening what so ever.
I believe Obama is just trying to look good for the upcoming election, but if we take a look at the last four years, he really has not accomplished anything. This could be because of how balanced our government is with political parties. I believe it is not caused by political parties but by his way of attempting to run this country. Obama also mentioned Mitt Romney’s “rough week” which is ironic since Mitt has the lead on him by six points according to the new WaPo/ABC poll. Obama should not be talking of Mitt’s rough week, after all it has been a rough four years with him as president. Whatever happened to friendly competition?

Ashley, people know how to use the system. The reaon welfare is so high is that people lie to get it. Also you said several, implying under ten people.

Well, I do not believe that a president gets better as time goes on because look at us now! OBAMA IS THE WORST PRESIDENT THAT THE UNITED STATES HAS EVER HAD!

I agree with Emily, Obama has not gotten better at all, he seems to be going downhill.

Yes Brian, unemployement is high because people lie but also because the current president has not launched any sort of investigation to see which people really need well-fare and which ones don't. If Mitt was president this would be completly different I do beleive.

I agree with Ashley. Some people are honest. People do work to get a job but cannot find one with this economy.

I do agree that presidents do get better over time. Just look at Obama he had to deal with a war when he became president, and now he's starting to settle that war and bring troops home. Thats why I do believe that they get better over time, and thats why im voteing for Obama again when its time to vote. They only thing i think he needs to change is the welfare system. iTs messed up and screwed up.

Many presidents do the same thing, they simply tell the public what they want to hear. It is simply how politics work.

With less then a year until the next election, it will be interesting to see if any changes are made to things such as welfare.
