The fallowing quote really struck out to me and made me think of politics believe it or not:
“There’s nothing gray about the truth, it’s simply wrong or right; for shadows disappear from view when we stand in the light,”-Charles Ghigna
This I found very true. Right now there seems to be a discrepancy between the government and the people. There seems to be a gray truth in a sense, there are so many people questioning the governments honesty and if they are expressing the full truth to the people. This questioning began in the 90s and has continued ever since. What America needs is the black and white truth between the people and the government. When we develop this concept that is when America will “stand in the light.” We need to bring back the eras in which Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy were president. To me these appear to be two of the best presidential terms in history. I believe this because in both of their presidencies there we hard times and the economy wasn’t the best however they kept the truth known to the people and the people trusted the government. Modern society needs to gain back the trust of the government and when that is done successfully, that is when we will be in the light.

I agree that being able to trust your government is vital; without that come anarchy.
